Sean Thompson of Pro Home Renovations LLC admits that he hasn't done a lot of custom shower builds nor whirlpool tub installs and from the looks of these pictures below I see why. After the previous shower was gutted and taken down to the studs by the previous contractor, Sean started building the frame to support the walls of the shower (12x12 ceramic tile and mosaic tile surround), installed the water lines and put up the hardie backerboard, Sean had no idea even though he sounded like he knew what he was talking about on how to start putting up the tile. He then hired 3-days later a tile guy, Richard "Eli" Calderon of Southwest Southern Tile Inc. to do the tile work he said he was going to do. Keep in mind Sean never has worked with Eli Calderon before so he has no knowledge of his workmanship. Sean and I, the customer shopped all over Edmond and Oklahoma City looking for tile since no materials to build were kept on-site. Sean spoke of him buying all the materials up front and having them in my garage but when tile was being depleted he asked me, the customer to buy online and pick up at the store when the contractor should of done this. This was unprofessionally mismanaged and to date, no contact with my husband or I has been made to fix the problems below and the shower and bath area have not been sealed as the grout is still rough to touch. Shower remains unused until tile and grout are fixed and sealant is applied.
The above picture is what we wanted and this picture here shows what we got from his lack of listening considering we sent him an email showing him what we specifically wanted. I tried to like it since Eli Calderon of Southwest Southern Tile Inc did a lot of work to put it up, but the more I looked at it the more I couldn't live with it. Work was done to fix the 12x12 tile to make the entire wall look like the above picture. I was happier.
